The New Feature in Webflow for Deleting Multiple or All Assets at Once in the Wide View of the Asset Manager
Webflow recently introduced a new feature that enables users to delete multiple or all assets at once in the wide view of the asset manager. This functionality is designed to streamline the workflow for managing assets in Webflow, making it easier and more efficient to remove unnecessary files from your project.
To take advantage of this feature, follow these steps:
Access the Asset Manager: Log in to your Webflow account and navigate to the Designer tool. Click on the "Assets" tab located in the left sidebar to access the Asset Manager.
Select Wide View: By default, the Asset Manager displays assets in a grid view. To enable the wide view, click on the toggle button located in the top-right corner of the Asset Manager, next to the search bar. The wide view expands the viewable area, making it easier to manage assets.
Select Multiple Assets: In the wide view, you can now select multiple assets by clicking on their thumbnails. Hold down the Shift key to select multiple assets in a continuous range, or hold down the Command key (Mac) or Ctrl key (Windows) to select multiple assets individually.
Delete Multiple Assets: Once you have selected the desired assets, click on the trash bin icon located in the top-right corner of the Asset Manager. A confirmation prompt will appear, asking you to confirm the deletion. Click "Delete" to proceed. Webflow will then remove the selected assets from your project.
Delete All Assets: If you wish to delete all assets at once, click on the "Select All" button located in the top-left corner of the Asset Manager. This will select all assets displayed in the wide view. Click on the trash bin icon, confirm the deletion, and Webflow will remove all assets from your project.
This new feature allows for a more efficient cleanup process when managing assets in Webflow. By being able to delete multiple or all assets at once in the wide view of the Asset Manager, you can save time and keep your project organized.
Remember to review your selection carefully before proceeding with the deletion, as deleted assets cannot be recovered. Additionally, keep in mind that deleting assets may impact any references to them in your project, so always double-check if any links or references need adjustment after cleaning up your assets.
