What do the stars in the Navigator panel in Webflow represent and can we create them ourselves?
The stars in the Navigator panel in Webflow represent "Symbol Instances." Symbols in Webflow are essentially reusable elements or components that you can create once and use throughout your project. When you create a symbol, it is added to the Symbols panel, and each time you use that symbol in your design, it becomes a symbol instance.
Symbol instances are indicated by stars in the Navigator panel to make it easy for you to identify and manage them within your design. These stars serve as visual indicators to help you quickly identify which elements are symbols and which are symbol instances.
The stars also provide some additional functionality and control over symbols in your project. By clicking on a star, you can select and edit the properties and styles of the symbol instance. If you make changes to a symbol instance, such as changing its size or styling, those changes will be applied to all instances of that symbol throughout your project.
As for creating stars in the Navigator panel ourselves, unfortunately, it is not possible to manually add or remove the stars. The stars are automatically added to the Navigator panel by Webflow to identify symbol instances. However, you can create your own symbols and use them as instances in your design to take advantage of the benefits symbols provide.
