In Webflow, you cannot directly delete a class using the selector field or style manager. However, you can achieve the same result by following these steps:
- Access the style manager: Click on the "Styles" tab in the right-hand panel.
- Identify the class you want to delete: Scroll through the list of classes in the style manager until you find the one you want to remove.
- Open the class settings: Click on the triangle icon next to the class name to expand the settings.
- Remove the class from elements: You can remove the class from any element by clicking on the "x" icon next to the element's name in the class settings.
- Confirm deletion: A popup will appear asking for confirmation. Click on "Remove" to delete the class from that element.
- Repeat for all elements: If the class is applied to multiple elements, you'll need to repeat steps 4 and 5 for each element until the class is completely removed.
- Clean up unused classes: Once you have removed the class from all elements, you can go to the "Classes" tab in the style manager and delete the class from there. Click on the "x" icon next to the class name, and a confirmation popup will appear. Click on "Delete" to finalize the deletion.
It's important to note that removing a class from elements will not affect other elements or styles in your project. If you have used the class in custom code or interactions, you'll need to update or remove those references manually.
While you cannot delete a class directly from the selector field or style manager, this method provides a straightforward way to achieve the same result.
