To merge files from one Webflow project to another, you can follow these steps:
- Export the files from the source project:
- Go to the source project and navigate to the "Settings" tab.
- Select the "Export" tab on the left-hand side.
- Choose the content you want to export (e.g., pages, styles, CMS collections, etc.).
- Click on the "Export" button to download a
.zip
file containing your exported files.
- Import the exported files to the destination project:
- Open the destination project and go to the "Settings" tab.
- Select the "Import" tab on the left-hand side.
- Click on the "Choose Files" button and navigate to the
.zip
file you downloaded from the source project. - Select the file and click on the "Open" button to upload it.
- Webflow will then import the files into your destination project.
- Map and resolve any conflicts:
- If there are any conflicts between the imported files and the existing files in the destination project (e.g., duplicate page or style names), Webflow will prompt you to resolve them.
- Review the conflicts and choose which version you want to keep.
- Choose whether to overwrite or rename conflicting files.
- Once you have resolved all conflicts, proceed with the import.
- Review and update the imported content:
- After the import is complete, review the imported content to ensure everything looks and works as expected.
- Some adjustments may be necessary, such as updating links, setting up redirects, or reassigning collection fields.
- Publish your changes:
- After merging the files, make sure to publish your changes to make them live on the web.
Remember to back up your project before attempting any major changes or imports, as this process involves making significant updates to your project.
